Overview: This role is for a technologist passionate about Linux and Cloud technologies, aiming to contribute to Canonical's success with Ubuntu and open-source products. The role requires working with a dynamic team that designs and operates modern distributed systems for clients using Kubernetes, OpenStack, and other technologies. Responsibilities: - Manage a growing engineering team to optimize the quality and speed of development and operations. - Identify and measure team health indicators to ensure team effectiveness. - Implement and enforce disciplined engineering and operations processes. - Represent the BootStack team to stakeholders, customers, and external teams. - Ensure that the team maintains focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverables. - Work to meet service level agreements with customer deployments globally. - Deliver qualitative managed services consistently and on time.

Minimum Commitment
Requirements
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a technology field.
Proven experience in software delivery (using Python, Go, C, C++, Java, etc.) and/or managing operations teams.
Experience with OpenStack.
Strong commitment to testing methodologies and maintainable code quality.
Proficiency in Linux system administration; knowledge of Ubuntu/Debian is a plus.
Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
Familiarity with agile software development methodologies.
Experience in managing distributed teams.
Technical understanding of complex distributed systems and cloud technologies.
Willingness to travel for team events and customer meetings, approximately 20% of the time.
